Fluid's Head Coach, Kyle Eade, hit the road this month and traveled all the way back home to New Zealand. He coached for 2 weeks at the beautiful Piarere Water Ski Club which brought a back a few memories as that was the site where he first attended a ski school as a student back in 1988.
"It was great to get back home to see some familiar faces but also see a bunch of new talent who all trained hard and learnt a ton over the 2 weeks.

In 2015 Fluid will be hosting 3 record tournaments on Lake Grew beginning on May 9/10, followed by July 18/19, and Oct 17/18. Every tournament we hosted last year was full with a skier waiting list so send your complete entry in early to guarantee your spot. More information can be found on our Events page.

Following the US Open, the USAWaterski Foundation will be hosting the annual "Ski with the Legends" event at Fluid on October 25/26.
Some of the biggest names in our sport like Sammy Duvall, Wade Cox and Kristi Overton will be on hand to give you a ski experience like no other.

TECHNICAL CONTROLLERS CLINIC
If you would like to become a TC or want to learn more about surveying, setting up a course or preparing a site for tournaments, please join us at Ski Fluid on April 18th for a TC Clinic instructed by Jerry Jackson.
Thanks to the John Worden Educational Fund the clinic is free to attend. We hope to see a number of new faces looking to take the first step towards becoming a TC!!
The former world record holder is on the start list for this event and we look forward to seeing if he can get around 3 at 43 to take his record back!
On October 18th and 19th Ski Fluid is hosting it's last record tournament for 2014. As usual the tournament this tournament has already reached capacity and we are looking forward to a great weekend of skiing. In the past Fluid has been known as one of the top jump sites in the country but now it is getting a great reputation for slalom. Especially, thanks to Chris Parrish who set a new course record of 1.5 @ 43 on the site last month which is also the highest score in the world this year.
Yes, that's right, the US Open is back and Fluid is excited to be hosting the preliminary rounds on October 23/24 with the finals scheduled for October 25 at Lake Ivanhoe, downtown Orlando.
Come out and watch all the world's best Men and Women skiers compete in all 3 events for the coveted US Open title.

iA big week in the sport of water-skiing with the Over 35 World Championships starting today, October 8th, at Sunset Lakes here in Central Florida and the Asian-Australasian Championships underway in Perth, Australia. All the best to all the competitors but especially all the skiers who trained at Fluid this year as part of their tournament preparation.
